Here in South Korea, things are said quite differently. That is, different from the usual way we call things in my home country.
Before the start of a class I ask my students if anyone wants to go to the bathroom to pee or wash the fash. We usually do not call it bathroom in my home country but comfort room. We use only the term bathroom in the house because that's what it is -just a bathroom. Also, here. instead of saying "I will vomit", say "I will throw up."
Maybe it is not just the terminology but the simplicity of the words. Saying bathroom is easy compared to comfort room. And to throw up is definitely easier than to vomit.
