A Non-Working Day

Yesterday, a Sunday, was a non-working day. So we spent the whole day doing the usual household chores. We washed the clothes, bought items at the supermarket and just decided to walk for an hour.

We were back at home at seven in the evening. I was watching television at eight when I suddenly fell sleepy. So I decided to lie down and close my eyes. I was asleep for two hours.

Two whole hours! At 10 in the evening, I was wide awake. My husband is already asleep at this time. And since the television is turned on, I decided to watch.

I watched two episodes of Lost Case. Lost Case is an American show with plots of unsolved cases.

It was a good show which borders on human emotions and past experiences. The episode I watched showed a crazy mother caught by police in a public place. Then the son fetched her.

The mother is sick with Alzheimer's. And she roams around the city because the front door is always open.

At the latter part of show, the lead detective pretending to be the daughter, was able to get a confession out of her. The mother remembered the uneventful incidents years ago. The father died because the mother killed him. She used a metal bar to hit him. Then she asked the son to carry him to the van and put his body in an allley.

But the police were wondering about his clothes. He had clothes and shoes but without any socks. So the police were wondering about the socks.

The lead detective was able to solve the case. The mother killed the father. There were no socks because he was killed at his house.

The mother is sent to jail. And, after eight long years, the estranged daughter and son finally hugged each other. They were finally able to feel peace. Peace for their father.
