Four Variables That Can Move People

The most important thing is people.

It is useless if people do not come to buy. How much time do we spend in preparing good items and efficient service?
It is not enough to buy once.

We have to make people come to our store regularly.

Introduce me to people and make them visit my store and buy.

After all, there is only one reason a company prepares good products and puts on nice interior, disciplines the staff, does the proper advertising and practices sales promotion in collecting people.

If there are no people, the stores close down.
So we have to know how we can move people when we want to.

There are four variables that can move people.

1. PROFIT

People move when they think it is profitable to themselves.

One discount store decides to sell 2 dollars per one umblella before the rainy season one day.
People line up at 7 am. Unfortunately, it starts raining in the morning.
The store will open at 10 am. Customers have to wait for at least 3 hours.
But there are no complaints until the store is open.

At that time, the usual price of an umbrella is 4 dollars.
The store sells 4 umbrellas per one customer, so they can make a maximun profit of 8 dollars per customer.

In spite of that, the people wait for three hours in the rain without any complaints.

According to the situation, there is a size of minimun profit to move people.
And more profits make people move faster.

Former mentioned a 2 dollar umbrella is over the minimum profit that can move people.

2. FUN

People move when they think it is fun and interesting.

There is a fireworks display show that can attend to very well-known teams.
Hordes of people come.

There is only one reason to explain this.
Exploding fireworks can hear the admiration and cheers of people.

No one complains. They wait for 2 hours even with traffic jam.

Fun and interesting experiences collect people.

See the NBA or the NFL. There are more people if the game is more intense.
Especially on the final round.

The last team in a race can have a lot of audience.
Because people feel more fun without the relation of results.

People move if they feel the fun and see something as interesting.

3. RELATIONS

People move according to blood, regional, school, organization relations.

First, customers visit stores mostly on relations or on people.
They buy 1-2 items even if they do not need.

We can see the power of relationships when we visit weddings or funerals.

They are all dressed-up and they exchange formal greetings.
Even if they feel bored.

I do not want to accept but there are some factions in every organizations.

We care for someone who has relationship with us.

4. CUSTOM

Our day is composed mostly of customs.

If there are no special occasion, we do the same things that we did yesterday.
Wake up because it is morning. Have lunch at 1 oclock and go home because the time is up.
Turn on the TV. Read the newspaper based on what we do.

When we go to a big place, there is a seat we prefer.
When we move to other places, there is a way we always use.

We do the same thing if there is no stimulus to change.
There is no reason. Only custom.

Custom has the power when we move.
