Today is a Wednesday, September 10. It is already 10 minutes before 12 noon. In a minutes, I will be eating lunch. At 1pm, I will leave for school.
What classes do I have today? Two classes of elementary students for 45 minutes each. Then will have a 45 minute break. Then off again to a 45 minute class for four students with english level of in-between.
In-between? What is that? I can hear people saying it aloud. Well, they are elementary students but the comprehension, writing and speaking skills are quite low compared with students of the same age. They can understand, read and write in Korean. But in english, no. They sure can't answer.
It will be tough teaching to them. They just spend their time speaking in Korean until the bell rings. And, if a test is given to them, they will say they can't understand. They can't even write a basic book report.
Well, after them, I have a hour and a half break. Peace and quiet for a short time. The next class will be a debate class for high school students. They speak well but needs to develop more their writing skills. If a topic interests them, they can finish the 30 minutes. But if it is too difficult, will end up using speaking for 15 minutes then just stop for the next 15 minutes.
Well, they have to do well. They will be taking an exam in November. If they pass, then good for them. If fail, that's their end. They end up enrolling in a community college.
The last class is okay. They speak, write and comprehend well. But since they are still kids, the girls end up hitting the boys. They will have an exam which will be finished in 15 or 20 minutes. After that, we will be reading a new story.
My class ends at 9 in the evening. But I will go home at 10. Will use the additional hour preparing for next day's class.
