Living healthy in South Korea is the general trend.
You go out to meet people and you do not find any obese person. Of course, this does not apply to the caucasian people living here. Some of them, as what I have observed, are obese.
Go to a typical restaurant here. Upon ordering, you will be given loads of vegetables as side dish. Side dishes are typically Korean. You can have your plates refilled with side dishes at no extra charge.
The other night, we ate at a restaurant. Loads of side dishes were served at our table. From sliced onions to cabbage to kimchi, our table was full to the brim. Then meat was served. We usually eat broiled meat wrapped in cabbage with kimchi and garlic.
Eating meat alone is not done here. It is, as what I have said, eaten with vegetables. It is done like this. Wrap cooked meat, whether beef or fish or pork, then put it in a cabbage leaf with garlic and kimchi. Then wrap it all up and put everything in your mouth.
Delicious, isn't it?
